The Lovegangsters is a performance platform composed of a loose association of artists, autodidacts, doers and researchers working in varied fields of artistic and scholarly practice. It produces, organizes, and presents artistic actions and strategies that intersect contemporary performing arts and performance practices with visual arts, textual production and critical studies. Established in 2008 by choreographer-curator Donna Miranda, the platform seeks to propose appropriate creative methodological and organizational frameworks to varied forms of performa/tive projects. It has since mounted projects in Manila, Yokohama, Berlin and Malaysia strengthening its links with local and international community working in the field of contemporary art (and) practice.
